HP Smart App Copy and scanning Process

Using HP Smart app, you can copy and scan documents or images with your mobile Phone. HP Smart having the tool to edit or change the scanned image before it is saved, pressed or posted. You can print and save your documents locally or in the cloud and share them through emails, text messages, Twitter, Instagram, etc. Following instructions will guide you to copy or scan using HP Smart app, based on the type of computer using.

Print and download from an Android or iOS device

Download from Android or iOS device

 1.    Open the HP Smart app.

2.    Tap (+) button If you want to switch to another printer.

3.    Tap Copy. This opens the built-in camera.

4.    Put a document or image on ahead of the lens, adjust original size and then click the round button at the bottom of the display to capture a file.

TIP: Adjust the camera position in order to place the original inside the frame provided on the preview screen for better results.

5.    Preset the number of copies or make other necessary adjustments

·         Tap the Addition Page icon to add more documents.

·         Tap the Remove icon to delete documents.

·         Tap Resize to adjust the size of the original in the paper.

6.    Choose either black or color to print copy.

To scan from Android or iOS device:

 1.    Open the HP Smart app.

2.    Tap the Plus icon if you need to switch to another printer or add a new printer.

3.    Choose the scan option, and then tap Camera.

4.    The integrated camera is closed. If you have done changing the scanned file or image, save, upload or print it. Scan your picture or document using your camera.

Scan from Windows 10 device:

 HP Smart app is used to scan a printed document or pictures. You can now edit, save, print or share photo with HP Smart.

1.     Open HP Smart. To learn more, see the Use the HP Smart App to print, copy, search, or troubleshoot.

2.     Click Search and click Camera.

3.     Please pick a file or image before your camera, then tap or click the round button at the bottom of the photo.

4.     Click or tap Apply icon.

5.     Make other changes if needed:

·         Click to Add Pages for adding more documents or photos.

·         Click or tap to rotate or copy the document or picture or change the contrast, brightness, saturation or angle.

6.    Click or tap the Save button to save the documents.

Editing a document or image:

HP Smart app offers editing tools like cropping or rotating tools, so you can place a scanned document or a picture on your device

 1.     Open the HP Smart app for printing, copying, scanning and Troubleshooting.

2.     Select Print, and then select Import.

3.     Select the file or image you need to modify and tap Open.

4.     Adjust boundaries if needed. If required, press or taps on the Apply icon.

5.     Make more adjustments:

·         Press or tap Add Pages for additional documents, or photos.

·         Click or Tap Edit to rotate or crop or change the contrast, brightness, saturation or angle of the document or image.

6.    Choose the type of file you need, then tap Save or Send, or send it with others.
